Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen

- Hebrew 11:1

Hope deferred makes the heart sick but a promise fulfilled is a tree of life

-Proverbs 13:12

Have you ever had a promise, hope, or dream not fulfilled yet? This can be an uncomfortable feeling. One may start off with great expectations and joy. Just the thought of the promise coming to past can bring excitement to one’s heart. Then, there are the moments when it seems as if God has forgotten His promise or the wait is too long. What do you do when your hope is low and you are afraid to even think about the thing that once brought you joy? - BELIEVE.

Now, I’m not talking about something I read, but something I have experienced! I discovered in my wait that He is really at work! He has developed my character, stretched my faith, and even pruned me from unhealthy mindsets, people, and habits (this did hurt but was necessary!). Before we get any blessing from God, He prepares us for it. His preparation varies in multiple ways. One may wait longer while another may not. He builds our character in order for us to handle the blessing. Either way, our level of hope and expectation must be grounded in our faith in Him.

Yes, there may be times when it is low but don’t lose hope! He is the same God who fulfilled His promise to Abraham, the lady Elijah prophesied to about having a son, Hannah, and so much more!

He requires us to put all our eggs in His basket. This simply means for us to trust Him all the way. This is a work in progress for all of us. You and I are both charged to believe in God no matter what, especially when we can’t see it yet. Keep hoping and faithing it! If God said it, it will come to past!

Promises in the Word:

Isaiah 40:8 “The grass withers and the flower falls, but the word of our God endures forever.

Galatians 3:22 “ But Scripture has locked up everything under the control of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.
